Location: Home Based Contract: Full time, permanent Salary: GBP45,000 to GBP50,000 dependent upon experience, plus car / car allowance, 33 days holiday, pension, life assurance, employee assistance programme, wellbeing support, and flexible benefits scheme About the Role As a Bid Manager at Unipart Logistics, you will lead and manage a wide variety of warehousing and transport tender opportunities across multiple sectors, engaging with dynamic and forward-thinking colleagues from across the entire organisation to deliver vibrant bid-winning proposals. As part of your key responsibilities you rsquo;ll: Be accountable for the allocated response to public and private tenders and proposals, in any of our sectors Lead the lsquo;virtual Bid team rsquo; within the sector comprising: Business Development, Operations, Solution Design, Project Management, Finance, IT, HR and Commercial through the defined UL Bid Management process Write and design articulate, concise customer-centric proposals, presentations and other documents as required Manage the end-to end production of bid documents and ensure that all proposals are completed on time and comply fully with the customer specification and requirements Facilitate Value Proposition sessions, to ensure customer-centric and rationalised win strategies are developed and integrated into submission documents Support the qualification and sign off process, including document creation for opportunities Track and manage key outputs, actions, and clarifications throughout the bid process Lead Tender Reviews Meetings to drive collaborative sessions with the bid team Ensure a high quality, customer-centric, look and feel of proposal documents Work with the wider UL Bid Management Team on projects to improve processes Act as an ambassador for bid management practices across the sector and wider Unipart Logistics business About You We rsquo;d love you to have the following skills and experience, but please apply if you think you rsquo;d be able to perform well in this role! Strong bid management experience in the public and private sector The ability to write to a high level confidently and persuasively Articulate, with strong verbal and presentation skills A proficient user of Microsoft Office, in particular PowerPoint and Word Experience operating at a senior level and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders Strong organisational skills with the ability to plan and manage resources/output timelines Used to working under pressure and to challenging deadlines with energy and passion, and will have the flexibility to deal with change Experience in the field of supply chain logistics and external bid training (for instance, Shipley or APMP would be advantageous) Our recruitment and selection process has been developed to ensure that it is consistent, fair and provides equality of opportunity - all selection decisions are based solely on technical and behavioural competencies.
