Flourish Education are currently recruiting for a Teaching assistant to work in a Primary School located in Bartley Green, Birmingham. The school want to recruit a Teaching Assistant to work full time in their Year 2 class, this class contains a wide variety of children with SEND, both diagnosed and undiagnosed, needs include Autism, ADHD and ASD. Our client is a Primary school who value a supportive staff team who work collaboratively to instil confidence and independence in in learners. Responsibilities as a Year 2 Teaching Assistant will include working in small groups and 1:1 with children with SEND. Preparing resources, maintaining good behaviour, and minimising disruptions. The school requires a Teaching Assistant who is committed and uses initiative to help where required. This is a full-time Teaching Assistant role and is to start immediately and is expected to continue until the end of the academic year. Required Skills and Experience for this Teaching Assistant role: Minimum Level 2 Qualification Experience working in primary schools and or nursery settings. Knowledge of KS1 curriculum Previous experience working with children with SEND The ability to contribute to create a safe, engaging, and positive learning environment. To be able to work effectively and efficiently alongside the class teacher. Empathetic and supportive towards students and staff Working for Flourish Education as a Teaching Assistant you will receive: A competitive salary of up to GBP98.41 per day which equates to GBP19,189.95 based on working 5 days a week for the full school year.
