Secondary cover manager

As a Cover Manager at a secondary school in Dukinfield, Manchester, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the school by managing the cover requirements. Your primary responsibilities will include: - Coordinating cover for absent teachers, ensuring that all classes have suitable supervision. - Liaising with teaching staff to arrange cover for absent colleagues and ensuring that the curriculum is delivered effectively. - Managing the cover budget effectively and efficiently. - Maintaining an up-to-date database of supply staff. - Organizing and overseeing the implementation of the cover timetable. - Ensuring the quality of teaching and learning is maintained during staff absences. - Handling communication between the school and supply agencies. - Providing support to teachers and supply staff, ensuring they have all necessary resources and information to carry out their duties effectively. The Cover Manager role requires excellent organizational and communication skills, the ability to work under pressure, and a good understanding of the school #39;s curriculum and timetable. This position is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, proactive, and can effectively manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
