Air Conditioning Engineer Ipswich/Suffolk We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Air Conditioning Engineer to join our team based in Ipswich / Suffolk. As an Air Conditioning Engineer, you will work on National, Local Authority, and Direct contracts. Your responsibilities will include performing planned preventative maintenance (PPM), repairs on A/C units and AHUs, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and maintaining accurate records. You will be an integral part of our 24/7 callout rota, contributing to our customer-focused approach and delivering high-quality workmanship. Benefits Salary: GBP40,000 per annum 24 days holidays, rises to 25 days after 1st year Employee benefits scheme Fuel Card (can be used ofr private use) Van Supplied Pension Plan What the role entails: Some of the main duties of the Air Conditioning Engineer will include: Execute PPM and repairs on A/C units and AHUs as required. Clearly and accurately specify any necessary parts for repairs. Report any encountered difficulties to the Engineering Supervisor/Manager. Maintain daily record keeping functions. Ensure all work is performed to the highest safety and workmanship standards. Understand escalation procedures and follow them when necessary. Participate in the 24/7 callout rota. Accurately record and complete all tasks via mobile working devices (PDA #39;s, smartphones). What qualifications and experience you need to be the successful Air Conditioning Engineer: City and Guilds 236 (part 1 a2). City and Guilds 2382 (18th Edition). Refrigeration and Air Conditioning (6087) or equivalent. Essential experience in a similar role/environment. Proficient in working as a mobile engineer in the local area. Possession of a Full Clean Driving Licence. Computer literate with proficiency in Word, Excel, email, and internet use. Ability to work independently and take initiative.
