Our client offers a range of planning and development-related services and in this role, The Assistant Town Planner will be working alongside experienced planning professionals on commercial, retail, residential and industrial schemes. What the Assistant Town Planner will do Key role responsibilities Supporting the team in the delivery of a variety of planning projects including assisting with all aspects of advice, planning applications and appeals Researching and analysing planning policy and decisions, preparing representations to emerging policy and local plans Drafting reports, advice notes, planning statements and pre-application letters Preparing and submitting applications on the planning portal and monitoring applications Attending meetings and taking minutes What Assistant Town Planners need to apply Degree or higher in relevant subject Excellent analytical, verbal and written skills Positive, hard-working attitude Enjoys responsibility and integrating/collaborating with other teams Understanding of the UK planning system What our client will offer the appointed Assistant Town Planner Competitive salary and benefits package Comprehensive training programme Support for achieving professional accreditation including RTPI and RICS Mentoring from inside and outside your team Pension 28 days annual leave plus public/bank holidays Following probation: Discretionary bonus, Private Medical Insurance, Season ticket loans and Cycle scheme What next?
