Accountant finance director

They have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Accountant to join them, and become an integral part of the business ndash; not only heading up the Accounts function, but playing a part in the day to day running of the business. For the right candidate, there are opportunities to progress to Financial Director. Responsibilities Key Skills: Full control of all company accounts, systems and procedures to include: * Preparation Management Accounts * Journal postings to Nominal Ledger * Fixed Asset Register Maintenance * Preparation and maintenance of Cash Flow Forecast * Bank Reconciliation * Payment of Foreign Purchase Invoices VAT Treatment * Preparation and payment of quarterly VAT returns * Payment of PAYE NI contributions * Running Four Weekly and Monthly payroll * Managing company HR policies and procedures Required Skills: We are looking for a professional and dedicated Accountant who wants to be an integral part of the day to day management of a thriving engineering business. You will work very closely with the company MD and deputise for them in their absence. * AAT or CIMA part or fully qualified desirable * Manufacturing / Engineering sector desirable * Proficiency with Excel, Sage 50 Accounts Payroll, MS Office essential Unfortunately due to the number of applications we receive, we are unable to provide individual feedback to all applicants.
