Senior electrical design engineer

TXM Recruit are excited to be working with one of the UK rsquo;s leading suppliers of LV switchgear and control gear systems, are you a Senior Electrical Design Engineer looking for a new challenge within the Rail industry? We are looking for someone to join a small Engineering team based in Coventry working and reporting to the Design Engineering Manager. There is the opportunity to work a hybrid work pattern and some site work will be required to assist with installation, SAT tests and variations. Role Responsibilities: bull; To design, quote and produce electrical control and distribution panels through to testing and commissioning. bull; Provide technical support for operational employees and external customers. bull; Project Management of each job ndash; design, quotes, creation of O M manuals, technical, quality, commissioning, after care support and testing bull; Tender and management of Maintenance Contracts bull; Apply knowledge, skill, and experience to design and implementation of new innovative solutions. bull; Work to and maintain the production schedule. bull; Review profit and loss of each job. bull; Order planning. bull; Delegate projects to other members of the design team and assist with technical queries raised. bull; Ensure all activities undertaken are fully compliant with quality management system and in accordance with health and safety requirements. Role Criteria: bull; HNC/ HND / Degree in Engineering or Electrical Engineering or equivalent (Level 4 academic) bull; Experience of specifying and designing Low Voltage ( 110, 230, 400 650 volts) Power distribution system bull; Commercial acumen and experience of design to cost. bull; AutoCAD experience bull; Experience of managing customer projects, from start to commissioning bull; Good IT skills (Excel / Access, Google Sheets) bull; Experience in product design lifecycle ndash; from concept to introduction into manufacturing (ideally in safety critical industry) bull; Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. bull; Passion for producing innovative design solutions. bull; Strong interpersonal skills and ability to engage, negotiate and influence across different levels of technical staff and customers, bull; Ability to work independently and deliver to targets and timescales. bull; Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously. bull; Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
