29677 Generator Service Engineer - training on UPS available Leicestershire GBP28,000 - GBP32,000 + benefits + training Alecto Recruitment is looking to hear from experienced Generator Engineers and Technicians based in Leicestershire, interested in working with a specialist engineering company which serves the Generator and UPS hire industries. Our client is looking for an experienced Diesel Generator Engineer in the area to join them, who will be offered training and development into the area of UPS or critical power supplies. Role Profile This role involves a great deal of travelling to and from customers sites, most workdays will require the engineer to report to our business address to enable loading of van for required works. This is not a position where you are on call working from your home location. You will be able to collaborate with a team or work as a standalone engineer dependent on job requirements. This Engineering role also requires to be on call for a seven-day period, this involves out of hours cover via our on-call rota, based on an average being every fifth / sixth week. There will be requirements for staying away from home, all work-related expenses covered by the company, there would be no requirement for out-of-pocket expenses relating to work. Full UK driving licence is a requirement of this role.Engineer Profile Minimum skill set requirements for this role. Mechanical Apprentice served or proven history in the industry. Proven history in Diesel Generators across a wide range of manufacturers. Able to conduct, routine maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs. Basic understanding of engine controls and fault finding.helpful but not an immediate requirement * Battery impedance testing Static/ Rotary UPS maintenance 18th Edition (opportunity to achieve qualification but not a requirement)* The right candidate will need to learn new skills to enable them to be able to undertake the full requirements for this job role.
