Warehouse supervisor

PERMANENT WAREHOUSE SUPERVISOR ndash; MILTON KEYNES ndash; 30 - 31K Daily duties are likely to involve:- * Supervise the Warehouse Distribution Department in order to optimise our logistical and Warehouse storage operation. * To direct / advise / coach implement improvements within the Warehouse. * Monitor against agreed targets and direct/coach/advise actions accordingly. * Control warehouse movements on a day-to-day basis through to warehouse storage and distribution. * Motivate the small team but be a hands on manager * Jumping on the forklift as and when needed * Be involved in shunting * Focus on key KPI targets, driving accountability and consistently challenging and involving the team to achieve results. * Review rotate stock levels by product and advise manufacturing with regard to any physical stock level discrepancies. * Carry out and control stock counts, to include full month end stock counts and archive as required. * Ensure all customer returns are correctly logged with the appropriate documentation history to the Shift Manager * To control and re-cycle all warehouse waste materials. * To promote and comply with all Company Quality, Hygiene and Health Safety policies and procedures. * To improve efficiency within the warehouse * Working 4 on 4 off shift 4 on, comprising of 6am ndash; 6pm, followed by 6pm ndash; 6am and then 4 off In return, what we need from you:- * Similar experience to the above * Valid counterbalance forklift or if expired refresher will be provided * Experience or willingness to be involved in shunting * Consistent experience of working at a warehouse management position in manufacturing, logistics, distribution or similar is essential * You will be looking after a small team but must demonstrate a hands on approach * Be able to work the shifts as indicated above So, if you are interested and want an immediate opportunity, please apply immediately with your cv Thank you for your interest in this position.
