Community Engagement Officer - Greater Sedgemoor Landscape Recovery Reference: APR (Apply online only) Location: Sedgemoor Grassland Reserves Salary: GBP26,379.00 - GBP28,319.00 Per Annum, Pro Rata Contract: Fixed Term contract until March 31st 2026 Hours: Part Time, 30 Hours per week Benefits: Pension, Life Assurance and Annual Leave About the Role The role will help develop an innovative landscape-scale #39;Landscape Recovery Scheme #39; across the Southern part of the Somerset Levels and Moors and maximise the project #39;s positive social impact. You will work closely with local communities, building relationships, problem solving, and bringing creative ideas to the table. This might mean working with groups to explore barriers to landscape connectivity, developing active travel opportunities within the landscape, organising and holding health and wellbeing events, supporting nature aligned businesses, creating social media content, or connecting with arts-based charities. Additional Information: * Our Offices Reserves: * West Sedgemoor , Swell Wood and Greylake RSPB Reserves all lie within the Greater Sedgemoor Landscape Recovery Area. * RSPB has a small reserve office at Dewland #39;s Farm, close the village of Curry Rivel on the edge of West Sedgemoor. * We are seeking to hire a separate office for the project team in the small town of Langport for the duration of the project which will be fully accessible. * The RSPB reserves the right to extend or make this role permanent without further advertising dependent on business needs at the end of the contract term.
