As part of this role, a flexible approach to customers rsquo; needs and working hours is required and may include the need for you to work some weekends and during some public holidays. You will also be included on a rota to provide out of hours cover and rapid response to our clients. Some more brief responsibilities of a Service Engineer are: bull; To develop and maintain good working relationships with customers through providing best in class quality service by; bull; Always being punctual, helpful and courteous. bull; Carrying out preventive maintenance and commissioning work bull; Timely submission of work reports, time sheets and all other documentation. bull; The timely completion of site tasks and activities as required. bull; Offering the client after-sales technical and commercial support and feedback on future product development, features and functions. bull; Looking for recommendations and opportunities to improve the clients system, (reliability or productivity) and where appropriate QOF the client for parts, consumables or plant. bull; Undertaking upgrades and refurbishment work. bull; For all of the above, provide regular updates to your line manager on any issues that may result in financial, reputational or operational impact on the Company. bull; Carry out breakdown work ndash; troubleshooting /fault finding. bull; Liaise and work with the appropriate sales team. General requirements for the role: bull; A qualification in Mechanical, Electrical or Chemical Engineering. bull; Extensive knowledge and experience of the company products, applications and markets. bull; Full UK Driving Licence is essential. bull; Excellent communication skills with previous client facing experience. bull; Punctual and presentable. bull; Knowledge and experience in water treatment is desirable. bull; Excellent time management skills. bull; Passionate about providing a first-class service to our customers. bull; Able to handle challenging conversations with customers and find a resolution. bull; A good level of IT competency. bull; Able to prioritise workload and manage multiple tasks
