Group Accountant Dudley GBP60,000 - GBP68,000 Our established client based in the West Midlands are looking to recruit a Group Accountant to join their business. This role will involve overseeing various accounting functions, analysing financial data, preparing financial statements, and providing financial insights and recommendations to aid in decision-making processes. The Group Accountant will ensure the compliance of accounting principles, policies, and regulations, and collaborates with other teams to support the organisation #39;s financial goals. Key Responsibilities * Prepare and analyse financial statements, including Balance Sheet, Profit and Loss, and Cashflow Statements for the financial group. Ensure accuracy and adherence to accounting standards and regulatory requirements. * Review variance reports with commentary, capital expenditure reporting and bad debt review, created by the finance team. * Develop and maintain financial models to support business planning and decision-making. * Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborate with management to develop and monitor budgets and forecasts for the financial group. Assist in identifying potential financial risks and opportunities and provide recommendations to achieve financial targets. * Conduct thorough analysis of financial data, performance metrics, and key financial indicators to evaluate the financial health of the group. Identify trends, patterns, and potential areas for improvement or cost savings. * Develop and maintain effective relationships with other departments within the group, including asset management, legal and marketing. * Manage the production of year-end financial statements at group level in line with FRS 102. * Support and assist in the production of year-end audit deliverables and liaison with external auditors on central group elements. * Continuously review and enhance accounting processes and procedures to streamline operations, improve efficiency, and maintain accurate financial records. Required Skills / Experience * Strong technical accounting knowledge (Specifically in line with UK accounting standards). * Prior experience with group accounting, consolidation, multi-currency reporting is an advantage. * Experience of filing group consolidated accounts at Companies House. * Dealing with foreign subsidiaries and converting to UK GAAP advantageous * Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to present financial information to non-financial stakeholders. * Excellent analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex financial data. * Proficient in using accounting software and financial systems. * Professional accounting qualification such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA * Experience with accounting software and proficiency with Microsoft Excel Package: 35 hours per week, Monday ndash; Friday 9am ndash; 5pm ndash; will consider 3 in /2 out split Competitive Salary: GBP55,000 ndash; GBP68,000, Discretionary bonus at Christmas, Private Medical Insurance, Enhanced Pension, Onsite gym personal trainer Subsidised Canteen, 27 Days Annual Leave plus BH, Life Assurance 4 x salary Free Onsite Parking If this role is of interest, please contact Anjna Mahey for more information
