Maintenance Technician looking for an exciting opportunity in the food production industry? Join our client, a leading food production manufacturer, as a Maintenance Technician in Newport, Shropshire! Position: Maintenance Technician Location: Newport, Shropshire Salary: GBP35,000 - GBP45,000 per annum Shifts: 4 on 4 off - 2 days and 2 nights What You #39;ll Do: Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on production equipment to ensure optimal performance. Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues on the production line. Perform preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency. Work closely with other maintenance team members and production staff to maintain a safe and efficient work environment. Keep accurate records of maintenance tasks and repairs. Main Purpose of the Job: bull; To observe, recognise and report on machinery or component defects or symptoms of impending failure and provide CMMS data. bull; Carry out Planned and Preventative maintenance to agreed schedules. bull; To diagnose faults and to test, repair and maintain Mechanical / Electrical equipment bull; Carry out autonomous breakdown tasks and preventative maintenance tasks competently and correctly, recording work carried out in appropriate documentation / data base (CMMS). bull; To interpret and implement technical service instruction data relating to machinery and equipment. bull; Previous experience of working with CMMS systems bull; To ensure effective handover of information across shift. bull; Contact OEM #39;s and other suppliers for technical support as and when required and expedite parts when not available on site. bull; Lead shift based problem solving where corrective actions aren #39;t clear bull; Working as ONE TEAM. bull; Identify and implement Improvements. bull; Identify life cycle issues and raise these with possible recommendations. bull; Use and support simple 5WHY OE techniques / RCA techniques through to 100 year fix. bull; Use and support departmental 5s programmes for workshops and stores. bull; To use CMMS historical data for improvement initiatives. bull; Use the CMMS stores system to accurately record parts taken out. bull; Complete all records and paperwork for specific work legibly and accurately (e.g. PPM rsquo;s, Quality records, maintenance schedules and return to work forms).
