Teaching assistant

Responsibilities when supporting SEN / SEMH: middot; Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with SEN needs within the classroom setting. middot; Collaborate with teaching staff to implement education plans and behaviour plans. middot; Create a positive and inclusive learning environment, promoting emotional well-being and social development. middot; Monitor and track the progress of students, providing regular feedback to relevant parties. middot; Assist in interventions, utilising school facilities such as sensory integration rooms, sports equipment and therapeutic settings to re-integrate children back into the classroom. middot; Work closely with external agencies, parents, and colleagues to ensure a holistic approach to student support. Required to work with SEN / SEMH / LD: middot; Relevant qualifications in education, Sports, Psychology, Performing Arts etc desirable. middot; Teaching Assistant, Learning Support, Behaviour Support, Sports Coaches all welcomed. middot; Team Teach training or equivalent is highly desirable but not essential. middot; Previous experience working with students with SEMH or SEND needs, including Autism desirable. middot; Strong understanding of behaviour management strategies and interventions including de-escalation tactics desirable middot; Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. middot; Experience supporting students with EHCP rsquo;s is desirable.
