Role Overview: As a Senior Mechanical Engineer (Motors), you will play a crucial role in advancing our motor mechanical designs and ensuring the highest level of quality and performance across our products. Your responsibilities will include: Independent Engineering Judgment: Demonstrating exceptional engineering judgment and decision-making skills to drive the success of projects and initiatives. Task Versatility: Working across a diverse range of tasks, including shock qualification, collation of information, and gathering evidence to support complex mechanical designs. Collaboration: Working closely with cross-functional teams to integrate mechanical solutions seamlessly into our product development process. Innovative Problem-Solving: Identifying challenges and developing innovative solutions to overcome obstacles and optimize mechanical performance. Continuous Improvement: Contributing to the continuous improvement of engineering processes, methodologies, and best practices within the organization. Qualifications and Skills: Essential: Bachelor #39;s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. Strong proficiency in independent engineering judgment and decision-making. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with shifting priorities and deadlines. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively interact with cross-functional teams. Ability to perform shock/vibration analysis and hand calculations to support Engineering Lead and the ability to gather and analyse data to support complex mechanical designs.Desirable: Experience of complex mechanical engineering design, for example rotating machinery, engine or transmission components.
