Job Title: Head of Building Control Location: London Salary: Up to GBP84,000 Type: Full-Time Job Description: We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Head of Building Control to lead our Building Control department at our London local authority. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safety and compliance of all construction and development projects within our jurisdiction. As the Head of Building Control, you will be responsible for overseeing a team of dedicated professionals and ensuring all projects adhere to national and local building regulations and standards. Key Responsibilities: middot;Provide strategic leadership and direction to the Building Control department. middot;Oversee the approval and inspection of building plans and construction projects. middot;Ensure all projects comply with national and local building regulations and safety standards. middot;Manage a team of building inspectors and administrative staff, offering guidance and support. middot;Collaborate with developers, architects, and contractors to ensure building compliance. middot;Monitor and evaluate the performance of the department and its staff. middot;Handle complex building control issues and disputes, offering expert advice and solutions. middot;Stay up-to-date with changes in building regulations and implement necessary adjustments. middot;Liaise with other departments and stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery. middot;Prepare reports and present findings to senior management and other key stakeholders.
