About the Role In this role, you will be based at our client #39;s Woking office and will contribute to building their presence in the south of England. Your responsibilities will include providing flood risk assessments, drainage, and highway infrastructure design for new development projects. You will collaborate with project managers, ensure high-quality innovative solutions, and facilitate effective communication with clients. Your ability to learn, adapt, and provide new thinking will be integral to the role. Key Responsibilities: Production of technical reports such as Flood Risk Assessments and Drainage Strategy reports Developing technical highway and drainage designs to support S104, S38, and S278 applications Undertaking various technical assessments for new developments Explaining technical concepts to colleagues and clients Checking technical outputs, drawings, and reports produced by junior staff Preparing and presenting information to internal and external groups Managing projects with moderate supervision Ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations Staying abreast of industry trends and best practices in infrastructure engineering and construction Key Requirements: A degree in Civil Engineering or related subject A minimum of 3 years #39; experience in UK development-related infrastructure engineering Knowledge of relevant design standards, planning policy, and local road standards Experience in preparing highways and drainage design, particularly S38, S278, and S104 processes Experience in writing flood risk assessments and/or drainage strategy reports Knowledge of drainage design principles and software such as Microdrainage and/or Causeway flow Excellent communication and written skills Motivated, enthusiastic, and committed to further professional development Competent in using Microsoft Office and relevant engineering software A full UK driving license Enjoy the Rewards You Deserve Our client offers a competitive salary based on experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package.
