Production planner

Production Planner Location: Macclesfield Company Profile: Our client is a highly reputable specialising in card manufacturing. The company is well-established and have been awarded various accreditation #39;s and awards respectfully. Position Overview: Develop and maintain production schedules to meet customer demand whilst maximising efficiency and minimising costs. Coordinate with various departments including manufacturing, procurement and logistics to ensure smooth workflow and timely delivery of orders. Monitor inventory levels of raw materials and finished goods, and collaborate with procurement team to ensure adequate stock levels are maintained. Communicate with sales and customer service teams to provide updates on order status, address any issues and prioritise urgent orders. Prepare reports and presentations to provide insights into production performance, identify areas for improvement and support decision-making processes. Arrange for machines to be serviced and to liaise with engineers to come in to maintain machines, to ensure they are running efficiently and safely. Using an internal CRM system called Print IQ, training is provided for this.Requirements: Proven experience in a production planning related role within a manufacturing environment. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends and implement solutions. Excellent organisation and time management skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and build positive relationships. Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies is an advantage.
