1:2:1 SEN Teaching Assistant (Temporary) Location: Durham Primary School Contract Type: Term-time only Working Pattern: Part-time or full time Duration: April 2024 until July 2024 Role Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant (SEN) to join our team. The successful candidate will work on a 1:2:1 basis with students who have special educational needs. This role requires someone who can effectively manage challenging behaviour, actively contribute to planning, and promote progress. Responsibilities: Provide individualised support to students with SEN, ensuring their well-being and engagement in learning. Collaborate with the Class Teacher to create an inclusive and supportive classroom environment. Assist in implementing personalised learning plans and adapting materials to meet students #39; needs. Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.Requirements: Experience working with children with SEN, particularly those with significant learning needs. Knowledge of early childhood development and early years education. Excellent time management skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Commitment to the values and ethos of our school.Qualifications: Minimum of Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent). Enhanced DBS disclosure (or willingness to apply).
