The Role: As an ICT Teacher, you will deliver engaging and interactive lessons that enable students to develop their digital skills, computational thinking, and problem-solving abilities. Your key responsibilities will include: Curriculum Delivery: Plan and deliver high-quality ICT lessons that cover a range of topics, including computer science, digital literacy, coding, and information technology, catering to the diverse learning needs of students. Practical Application: Provide hands-on opportunities for students to explore and experiment with a variety of software applications, digital tools, and programming languages, fostering creativity and innovation. Digital Citizenship: Teach students responsible and ethical use of technology, including internet safety, cyberbullying awareness, and digital footprint management, promoting positive digital citizenship. Project-Based Learning: Facilitate project-based learning experiences that allow students to apply their ICT skills and knowledge to real-world problems and challenges, encouraging collaboration and teamwork. Assessment and Feedback: Assess students #39; digital skills and understanding, providing constructive feedback and support to help them develop and refine their ICT capabilities. Integration: Collaborate with colleagues across subject areas to integrate ICT into cross-curricular projects and activities, enhancing students #39; digital literacy across the curriculum. Requirements: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Passion for ICT education and a strong knowledge of the ICT curriculum, including computer programming, digital literacy, and information technology concepts. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and inspire students in the use of technology for learning and innovation. Technical proficiency in a range of software applications, programming languages, and digital tools, with experience using technology to enhance teaching and learning.
