Business Development Manager ndash; Permanent Southend On Sea area, Essex GBP30,000 to GBP50,000 plus package OR714 Our client is a well established contractor working within the Civils and Utilities sectors. They are based on the outskirts of Southend and have a proven track record within the sectors they work in. They are currently searching for a business development manager to join their Bid Team and help them secure new clients, projects and frameworks agreements. Key responsibilities: middot; You will be working closely with the Directors, Senior Management and Bid teams to develop and implement strategic business development plans / pipelines aimed at building client relationships, identifying new business opportunities, winning new work and positioning and profiling the firm as a sector leader middot; You #39;ll be responsible for enhancing the company rsquo;s profile, strengthening relationships with key clients, and driving collaboration across the company. middot; You #39;ll work with partners to deliver thought leadership, multi-channel campaigns, market research, analysis and brand awareness. middot; Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities in the civils and utilities industry through networking, market research and lead generation. middot; Identify and establish strategic partnerships, collaborations and referral relationships to expand the company rsquo;s reach and service offerings. middot; Prepare regular reports on business development activities, key performance metrics, and progress towards goals. Benefits * Competitive salary: GBP30 ndash; GBP50k, depending on industry experience. * Company car or allowance * Company Pension * 20 days of annual leave plus bank holidays (increases with length of service) * On-site parking What we are looking for: middot; Proven experience (5 years) in business development roles, preferably within civil engineering, construction, utilities, maintenance or highways environment. middot; Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills #x2010; with partners, key associates and business development colleagues, clients and suppliers. middot; Excellent communication and negotiation skills with the ability to build rapport and foster client relationships to Director level. middot; Strategic thinker with the capacity to devise innovative business development strategies and support the integration of these into the business. middot; Proficiency in lead tracking and other business development tools, together with maintaining a sales pipeline of opportunities. middot; Outstanding project management skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities
