Team leader ndash; multi skills

The School of Vocational and Technical Studies at South Thames College are seeking a Team Leader ndash; someone to drive and manage outstanding quality teaching, learning, assessment, and tutorial support to students, to maximise achievement and continuous improvement. Whilst delivering the Level 1 and Level 2 Multi-Skills curriculum, you will assist in leading, managing and monitoring the curriculum area to ensure that achievement rates meet or exceed targets. You will ensure high quality student learning and coordinate schemes of work, assessment schedules and student monitoring. Providing coordination and leadership to delivery teams, you will ensure the effective and efficient use of resources allocated to the curriculum and contribute to the future direction and planning of the curriculum. We rsquo;re looking for someone who is qualified to degree level and who has recent experience of teaching Multi-Skills in an FE College. Committed to managing overall effective performance of a team, you will have strong evidence of outstanding teaching, learning and assessment and of effective employer engagement in curriculum design and delivery. Able to work under pressure and to strict validating body deadlines, you will have strong working knowledge of current framework for teaching, learning, assessment and quality assurance and have a successful record of setting and implementing target setting, monitoring and reviewing progress. Please note that this post is funded for the 2024/25 academic year so the successful candidate would not be expected to commence in post prior to August 2024. Subject to a cost of living review from 1 August, the successful candidate will be eligible for any subsequent increase in salary.
