Section Engineer / Senior Engineer - Tier 1 Contractor - Major Civils Framework - Southwest England South Wales Role overview: My client is a Tier 1 Construction and Civil Engineering Company. They have been chosen as the sole provider of Lot 3 - Western Geotechnical Off-Track and Drainage - as part of Network Rail Wales and Western region #39;s GBP2bn programme of works. The Lot stretches from London Paddington to Penzance and involves the ongoing maintenance renewals programme of civil engineering assets such as embankments, cuttings, scour protection, and earthworks drainage. They are presently looking to recruit, on a permanent basis, a Section Engineer / Senior Engineer to add to their existing project team. The successful candidate will have experience of delivering civil engineering projects and managing a small section of work while supervising one or more Site Engineers. Your duties include: Assist with quality control to ensure the standards are met in accordance to the design specifications Assist in producing permits to break ground (CAT Scanning management) Ensuring the highest health, safety and environmental standards are met on site adhering to the client #39;s and business #39;s requirement Liaise with the site team to approve materials ensuring they meet specification Keep accurate records of progress reports, site diaries and resource allocations Produce as-built drawings in AutoCAD The successful candidate will be rewarded with an outstanding working environment, opportunities to progress whatever stage of your career as well as a package that gives you security and recognises your contribution to the business.
