Maintenance

You You rsquo;re a caring, can-do person with experience working in building maintenance. Ideally, some of that has been gained in a care home setting. You rsquo;ve got a good basic education with GCSEs (or the equivalent) including English and Maths. As well as being very practical, you like dealing with people. You rsquo;re happy building good relationships with residents, colleagues and contractors. You rsquo;re a multi-tasker who can work well under pressure and use your initiative to solve problems. Above all, you rsquo;re a team player who takes pride in your work and is committed to maintaining a safe, comfortable environment for our residents. Your role The safety of our care home residents and staff is really important. So your role will be to make sure the premises and grounds are maintained to a high standard. You rsquo;ll perform regular checks, carry out repairs and, when needed, contact engineers or service agents. You rsquo;ll be confident doing fire, basic electrical and appliance checks. Faults must be reported and actioned promptly. We rsquo;ll also expect you to keep the grounds looking tidy and carry out general redecoration work. As our Maintenance Person, you rsquo;ll be a valuable member of our friendly, close-knit team, promoting the well-being of our residents and the successful running of our care home.
