Operations manager

OPERATIONS MANAGER, EAST DONEGAL. Employer and Job Overview Our client is a multi-faceted Group with a base in ROI and also operations in NI ndash; they operate across multiple sectors /industries including but not limited to manufacturing, engineering, roofing and retail. They currently wish to employ an Operations manager at their site East Donegal to join their dynamic, innovative and hardworking team. The Groups business interests are all based in the North part of Ireland on either side of the border. The Operations Manager will be responsible for the operational functions of planning, directing and coordinating as well as maintaining and upgrading plant and machinery at their Donegal Site. In addition, the Operations Manager is responsible for working with Senior management to maintain and enhance Health and Safety, Training and Inventory control. Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities bull; Coordination and Supervision -Coordinate, manage and monitor the workings of various departments in the organization. bull; Best Practices -Improve processes and policies in support of organizational goals. -Formulate and implement departmental, and organizational policies and procedures to maximize output. -Monitor adherence to rules, regulations and procedures. bull; Human Resources -Plan the use of human resources. -Organize recruitment and placement of required staff. -Establish organizational structures. -Delegate tasks and accountabilities. -Establish work schedules, supervise staff and monitor and evaluate performance. bull; Production -Coordinate and monitor the work of various departments involved in production, warehousing and distribution of goods. -Monitor performance and implement improvements. -Ensure quality of products. -Manage quality and quantity of employee productivity. -Manage maintenance of equipment and machinery. -Provide technical support where necessary. bull; Research and Development ndash; Assist in the development of an innovative research and development infrastructure within the business. bull; Strategic Input - Liaison with top management. -Assist in the development of strategic plans for operational activity. -Implement and manage operational plans. bull; Financial - Review financial statements and data. -Utilize financial data to improve profitability. -Assist to prepare and control operational budgets. -Control inventory. -Plan effective strategies for the financial wellbeing of the company. Education and Experience Our client is seeking a well rounded skilled and experienced leader who ideally has- bull; A third level standard education, ideally in engineering and/or operational management. bull; Industry relevant production experience. bull; Knowledge and experience in organizational effectiveness and operations management. bull; Knowledge of business and management principles and practices. bull; Knowledge of human resource principles and practices. bull; Knowledge of project management principles and practices. bull; Information technology skills.
