Senior Night Nurse- Nursing Home Salary GBP24.00ph 48 hours per week Shifts-Nights (Sponsorship is not currently available) The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting for a registered senior night nurse to join a beautiful care home in Downham Market. Job description: As a Senior Night Nurse, you will assist the Home Manager in overseeing the nightly operations of the home. You will be part of a strong management team, working closely with our nurses and carers to provide a consistent service delivery that meets the needs of our residents. Your focus will be on making sure we have the best nursing and clinical care provisions for our residents and you will actively contribute to clinical delivery. Key duties and responsibilities: * Oversee the running of the home at night time, liaising with other nurses and the deputy and manager. * Conduct initial assessments of new residents to determine their individual care needs and develop personalized care plans in coordination with the care team. * Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians and monitor residents for any adverse reactions or side effects. * Provide wound care and manage chronic medical conditions to promote residents #39; well-being and prevent complications. * Monitor and record vital signs, changes in health status, and any significant developments in residents #39; conditions. * Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility, when needed. * Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, therapists, and social workers, to ensure a comprehensive approach to resident care. * Respond to emergencies and provide immediate medical attention and support as required. * Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of residents #39; health records and care plans. * Educate residents and their families about health conditions, medications, and self-care techniques to promote resident involvement in their own care. * Uphold infection control measures and maintain a clean and safe environment for residents and staff. * Offer emotional support and companionship to residents, fostering a positive and nurturing atmosphere within the care home. * Participate in care conferences and team meetings to review and adjust care plans based on residents #39; evolving needs. * Stay informed about best practices, advancements, and regulations in nursing care to ensure the highest standards of care delivery. This role could be for you if you have; * NMC pin required. * Proven experience as a Senior Night Nurse, or a similar leadership role in the care sector. * Good communication skills and can maintain excellent working relationships at all levels, internal as well as external professionals, families and visitors. * Strong team player with good coaching and mentoring skills * Good clinical skills, with a focus on person-centred care * Enthusiasm and passion for developing high level of person-centred care. * Ability to actively participate in the growth and development of the care service. Qualifications required for the role * NMC registered nurse with relevant post-registration experience. What will you get from the role?
