QUALITY INSPECTORS - WOKING Who we are looking for People who have a manufacturing/mechanical engineering background, and some knowledge of welding processes. The role can at times be quite physical so applicants should be physically fit. Necessary experience: * Manufacturing/mechanical engineering background * Some knowledge of welding processes About the role Type: Permanent Location: Woking Hours: 7.30-4.30 Mon-Thurs and 7-3 Friday Salary: GBP35,000 p.a. * 30 days holiday inc. bank holidays * Employee Assistance Programme * Quarterly bonus scheme * Private healthcare (after 2 years rsquo; service) * Long service awards and increase in holiday * Employee of the Quarter The role will involve: * Performing independent visual, dimensional, inspection of component parts, sub-assemblies, and finished product assemblies * NDT inspection of fabricated/welded assemblies * Sample inspection of Goods in * Paint inspections * Instigation of non-conforming issues (customer and supplier) including investigation to identify root cause, liaising with all departments, providing corrective and preventive actions, following the established in-house Non-Conformance Report (NCR) process * Accurately document the results of the inspections and testing and maintaining records * Conducting supplier visits and or meetings to follow up on identified quality / non-conformance issues * Establish best practice and develop new inspection techniques as required * Ensuring that the company quality procedures are followed and reviewed accordingly with the quality manager / representative
