Personal advisor

Our client is keen to appoint a temporary Personal Advisor to improve the life chances of young people who have left local authority care, in accordance with relevant legislation. Key Responsibilities: Oversee a caseload of care leavers, offering guidance, support, and advice while adhering to the statutory framework for service provision Assist in developing essential self-care skills. Develop and implement Pathway Plans tailored to each young person #39;s circumstances, needs, potential, and aspirations Coordinate statutory reviews of Pathway Plans and revise them as necessary. Collaborate with care leavers #39; parents, caregivers, and other significant adults to foster and nurture relationships whenever feasible Prioritise listening to and considering the perspectives and desires of young people, utilising a person-centered approach in all interactions Act as an advocate for care leavers Engage individuals in educational, training, and employment opportunities Guarantee that eligible care leavers receive their full welfare entitlements Facilitate access to available accommodation options and provide the necessary support to maintain housing stability for care leavers Promote the comprehensive health needs of care leavers and facilitate their access to a wide range of health services Maintain regular communication with care leavers who opt not to engage with the service Assess and understand potential risks to care leavers #39; well-being and promptly inform managers when intervention or additional support is warranted Maintain accurate electronic records in compliance with departmental and statutory regulations Participate in supervision, professional development, and training activities, contributing to service planning as necessary Undertake any other duties of similar nature as requiredExperience and Skills Required Experience working with young people Multi-agency working experience Knowledge of relevant key legislation Excellent communication skills Confident IT abilities Empathetic and sensitive approachSo, if you feel that this role would be a great fit, click #39;apply #39; or contact us to discuss further.
