Quantity surveyor

Russell Taylor Group are currently recruiting on behalf of our client, for a Quantity Surveyor to join their company on a full-time, permanent basis in Essex. My client is an award-winning green technology and landscape build company with decades of experience. Working across London and the Home Counties, the team has undertaken a broad range of both Private and Commercial projects. Salary: Role Summary: middot;To manage all costs for our client from Handover of the Project by the Pre-Commencement Team to completion and agreement of the final account. middot;Responsibility for successful financial management, safe delivery, and completion of all company contracts in accordance with the contract terms as agreed by the company and on time, to budget within expected quality standards. To ensure that the company adheres to all Health Safety requirements and specific client and, or Principal Contractor contract requirements. middot;Reporting to the Commercial Manager, to work closely with dedicated internal Contracts Manager, Managers and Design Team to ensure full financial management from Design, Estimating, Procurement, Pre-commencement, and Delivery of the contract through to completion and agreement of final account. middot;Clearly define and create supply chain and subcontractor packages, let, and financially manage throughout the contract. middot;Ensure that all labour and materials are correctly scheduled in accordance with the programme and that works are regularly monitored financially and the client and, or Principal Contractors #39; on-site team is kept up to date with progress. Experience: middot;Experience of working as a construction Project Surveyor role or similar middot;Experience of working in Construction environment middot;Experience of working for a Main Contractor or Building Contractor middot;Experience of working on own initiative and as part of a team middot;Experience of working with ISO management systems (desirable) Knowledge: middot;Knowledge of the technicalities involved in working on a podium contract and the ability to read architectural drawings. Training will be provided. middot;Knowledge of the technicalities in managing / reading a programme under a Principal Contractor. middot;Knowledge of the technicalities involved in delivering design and build contracts. middot;Understanding of all on-site Health Safety requirements and responsibilities pertaining to the delivery of contracted works and their management and delivery. middot;Knowledge of relevant Construction Contracts and their application to the role and company in delivery of the contracted works. * This role will require the post holder to be an Essential Car User, hold a full UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle
