The newly created role of Natural Catastrophe Risk Specialist, you will be providing subject-matter expertise regarding natural catastrophe risk and how it is managed across the Lloyd rsquo;s market. Evaluating the current use of the latest models available through a Market wide lens to be able to provide insights to lead a consistent approach to oversight of the syndicates across the market. To support the Head of EM Aggregation (EMA) and Director of Portfolio Risk Management through delivering the following key accountabilities: * Deliver technical research and manage defined strategic projects to support Lloyd rsquo;s understanding and management of natural catastrophe risk * Maintain Lloyd rsquo;s high-level view of market-wide natural catastrophe exposure management capabilities and contribute to future development of maturity expectations * Support Lloyd rsquo;s Exposure Management team in delivering consistent Principles Based Oversight (PBO) for natural catastrophe risk * Lead event response activities for natural perils events * Maintain a risk-based framework for the review of syndicates rsquo; View of Risk validation and model change submissions * Support the Head of EMA in responding to ad hoc enquiries from regulators, rating agencies and other external and internal stakeholders * Provide technical input to the enhancement of the data and risk analysis, reporting and evaluation tools used within the EMA team, and the team rsquo;s capability to disseminate exposure management information throughout Lloyd rsquo;s * Proactively contribute to wider Lloyd rsquo;s projects and business objectives as and when required, with a special focus on exposure management and natural catastrophe risk subject matter expertise To be successful as the Natural Catastrophe Risk Specialist you will need to demonstrate the following skills: * Ability to manage projects and deliver agreed outputs on schedule * Ability to structure and distil information concisely and clearly * Enhanced numeric/mathematical skills and excellent written English * Ability to explain complex technical information effectively to a variety of stakeholders * Ability to communicate confidently at a senior level and demonstrate technical credibility * Very strong administrative, organisational and prioritisation skills * Proven collaboration skills; ability to work across teams and organisations * Delivery of projects and written outputs to agreed specifications and timelines #LI-MARKETS #LI-HYBRID Diversity and inclusion are a focus for us ndash; Lloyd rsquo;s aim is to build a diverse, inclusive environment that reflects the global markets we work in.
