Role Overview: As a Secondary School Supply Teacher, you will have the opportunity to work across a range of subjects and year groups, covering lessons in the absence of regular classroom teachers. Your role will be dynamic and varied, requiring flexibility, adaptability, and a passion for inspiring young minds. Key Responsibilities as a Secondary School Supply Teacher: Deliver engaging and interactive lessons across a variety of subjects and year groups, following the school #39;s curriculum and lesson plans. Manage classroom behaviour effectively, promoting a positive learning environment where students feel motivated and supported. Provide instruction, guidance, and support to students, ensuring their understanding of key concepts and facilitating their academic progress. Adapt teaching strategies and resources to meet the diverse needs of students, including those with special educational needs (SEN) or English as an Additional Language (EAL). Complete any necessary administrative tasks, such as registering attendance and leaving detailed feedback for the regular classroom teacher.Requirements: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification. Experience teaching in a secondary school setting, with a strong understanding of the UK curriculum. Flexibility and availability to work on short notice, often in different classrooms and subject areas. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students and colleagues quickly.
