Lead senior structural project engineer

The Role Responsibilities: Lead structural engineering activities within multi-discipline EPCM projects for the chemical and petrochemical industry. Support the procurement team in translating detailed structural steel design packages into procurement packages. Liaise with client engineering team to develop packages of work. Undertake technical bid evaluations from steel work fabricators. Work with steelwork fabricators to develop technical queries to the client Principal Design Engineer. Represent the business in meetings with stakeholders. Carry out supplier quality audits at selected steel work fabrication shops. Responsible for ensuring the overall quality accuracy of the steel work erection programme on site. Required experience Qualifications: 5+ years of experience working in a structural engineering role. Good knowledge of project engineering and site interfaces. HND / BSc / BEng / MSc in Mechanical, Civil or Structural engineering. Ability to lead on multiple packages of work. Result oriented, you will take personal accountability for results and monitor performance against project delivery objectives and UK/European Standards Regulations. Able to collaborate successfully with others in pursuit of business goals, adapting quickly to different styles and roles and encouraging others to contribute. Able to identify any impact to the project delivery objectives and apply change management accordingly. Strive to continuous improvement, generating new ideas for improving performance.
