Teaching Assistant * Location: Tadley, Hampshire * Salary: GBP70 -GBP85 per day DOE * Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Term time only, Monday to Friday * DBS on the update service NEEDED **This role is to start asap until the end of the summer term** School Staffing Solutions are recruiting for Teaching Assistant to work in a lovely small primary school in the Tadley area of Hampshire. The role will be working with pupils who have SEN on a 1:1 and small group basis. What does the role involve? * Supporting pupils during learning activities through providing effective support as directed by the teacher, promoting independent learning encouraging pupils to take personal responsibility for their progress. * Supporting their learning and provide timely and effective feedback to the class teacher on progress made or barriers to further learning. * Ensuring that the learning environment is appropriate, safe and engaging to allow for excellent progress and a learning. * Collaboratively participating in planning and preparations to ensure clear knowledge of what is expected of pupils in relation to their learning and progress. * Being fully aware of and fully implement the schools policies at all times, including safeguarding. Knowledge / Education / Skills * Experience working with children in an education or care setting * An awareness and understanding of the needs of those pupils with specific Special Educational Needs (SEN) would be helpful * Excellent communication skills- both verbal and written * A positive, enthusiastic demeanour with a #39;can do #39; attitude * Ability to effectively use ICT * Ability to work as a member of a team and on their own initiative This is a great role for someone with childcare experience wanting to work in a school environment.
