Air freight import specialist

Swift Specialist Recruitment are currently seeking an Air Freight Import Specialist to join the team for a permanent contract, with one of our most prestigious clients based in Sale Manchester. Job requirements bull; Providing quotations to clients for import and cross trade requests. bull; Booking of shipments with airlines and overseas offices. bull; Dealing directly with, oversea offices, hauliers, carriers for pricing and shipment updates bull; Creating and loading new shipments onto systems bull; Maintaining and updating system bull; Regularly advising clients of the status of current shipments bull; Issuing collection delivery instructions to the appropriate transport vendor bull; Raising sales invoices according to the prescribed company procedure. bull; Raising Duty/VAT invoices according to the prescribed company procedure where applicable. bull; Accruing for and passing purchase invoices according to the prescribed company bull; Filing of completed job paperwork. bull; Updating the respective client S.O.P. with any operational changes. bull; Assisting colleagues in the event of absence, holidays. bull; Preparing and transmitting accurate customs declarations for imports bull; Communicating any relevant information relating to shipments or market intel to Supervisor and Head of Air Product bull; Maintain high levels of service to all clients. bull; Answering the telephone
