Retrofit project manager

About this role An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Project Manager, with a background in Retrofit and Decarbonisation projects, to join our team in the Oxfordshire area. Job Purpose/Background: The role will include the implementation and delivery of various projects. The successful applicant will be responsible for our projects from initial set up, onto successful completion, monitoring the progress of work on site and assessing the quality of the work being carried out and ensure the work is correct as per scope of works, and specifications. Responsibilities include but not limited to: * Meeting potential clients and managing their expectations. * The first point of contact for clients and sub-contractors once a site is live * Oversee projects from the start through to completion, ensuring that work is completed on time and within budget, and to the highest quality. * Managing and production of all aspects of Health Safety, including - preparing site files, RAMS, Construction Phase Plans. * Producing and managing programmes. * Managing multiple projects at any one time. * Management of directly employed staff and sub-contractors ndash; organising labour, materials and plant requirements for each project. * Contributing to work planning, and briefing project teams, contractors, and suppliers. * Working closely with Quantity Surveyors - Keeping track of onsite changes and variations. * Timely Ordering of materials and plant. * Attending project / site meetings as the company representative. Knowledge / Experience: * IT skills are essential and you must be proficient in all Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, Outlook and Word * Experience of Retrofit and Decarbonisation projects * Working knowledge of PAS2035 * Building or refurbishment related qualification of demonstrable experience. Health and Safety qualification required such as IOSH, NEBOSH, SMSTS etc * Level 3 Leadership Management Qualification or equivalent or willingness to work towards * Previous experience of working within the social housing sector * Excellent customer service skills and commitment to deliver the works to the client rsquo;s expectation * Experience of working to schedules of rate and knowledge of the NHF Schedule of Rates * Experience of managing teams of operatives * Valid CSCS card (preferrable) * The ideal candidate will ideally have a minimum of 10 years rsquo; experience within the construction industry * Be technically minded. * Be able to use your own initiative, as well as working well as part of a team. * Excellent communication skills.
