Production technician

Production Technician We are currently looking for a Production Technician to work on shifts for a leading manufacturing company based in Southampton in a cleanroom environment. The ideal candidate will be someone who is reliable, keen to learn and wanting to grow their skills in a manufacturing environment and someone who is PC literate. Although any fibre optics experience is a bonus, they will provide training too. Production Technician Duties: Fabricating preforms and preparing glass ready for drawing into fibre, this includes: * Operating machinery and controls * Following product specification instructions. * Completing and maintaining logs, spreadsheets and databases as indicated in work instructions. * Reviewing test data * Adhering to strict Health Safety regulations Shift Pattern: Week 1 (days) ndash; Monday 6am-6pm; Tuesday to Thursday 5:50am-6pm (4-day week) Week 2 (nights) ndash; Monday to Wednesday 5:50pm-6am (3-day week) Benefits: * Pension: 7% employer; 3% employee (employee can contribute more but our contribution remains the same) * Holiday: 24 days plus bank holidays increasing by a day per year to 27 in total. * Private health: employee plus spouse/partner and children living at home to the age of 24 * Private dental: employee only but can add family members at cost to themselves * Life assurance: 4x basic pay * Subsidised gym membership If you could be interested in this fantastic Production Technician opportunity, please apply and we #39;ll be in touch to discuss further
