Clinical lead care home

About the roleAs a Clinical Lead, you will work closely with our nurses and carers to maintain the highest standards of clinical care and governance in our homes. Supported by our management team, you will ensure our residents receive the best care, meet their needs through excellent nursing and clinical care, and actively contribute to all clinical delivery.Reports to: Home ManagerKey duties and responsibilities bull; Work with the Home Manager to develop and implement effective clinical governance policies and NICE guidelines and procedures, adhering to the NMC guidelines and/or regulatory bodies at all times. bull; Support and mentor nurses and carers, providing coaching and training on up to date clinical practices including medication administration, wound care, and regular assessment of residents #39; health. bull; Ensure care records are maintained for all residents and care plans reflect the need of the resident, in line with regulatory requirements and professional best practice. bull; Monitor and review clinical standards across the care home, identifying areas for improvement and acting to implement changes. bull; Work collaboratively with the Home Manager and wider management team to ensure a positive and supportive work environment that promotes staff engagement, learning, and development. bull; Act as a role model to nurses and carers, demonstrating good clinical practice and providing leadership and guidance as required.Skills and attributes bull; Pleasant personality with excellent interpersonal and communication skills bull; Strong team player with good coaching and mentoring skills bull; Good clinical skills, with a focus on person-centred care bull; Ability to work well under pressure, prioritising tasks effectively bull; Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a solutions-focused approach bull; Strong IT skills, with experience in maintaining electronic records and databasesEducation and qualification NMC registered nurse with relevant post-registration experience.
