Family support worker

4Recruitment Services are seeking a Family Support Worker to provide services to our client based in Northampton. You will be required to Provide direct support to children and families, focusing on behaviour management, establishing routines and boundaries, supervising contact sessions, transporting children, and engaging in direct work with children. Support social workers providing assistance in interventions and assessments to ensure the well-being and stability of the families that access the service, DUTIES RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: Direct Support: Provide direct support to children and families, offering guidance and assistance in behaviour management, establishing healthy routines, and setting appropriate boundaries. Contact Supervision: Supervise contact sessions between children and their families, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for all parties involved. Transportation: Safely transport children to and from appointments, visits, and other necessary locations as required. Direct Work with Children: Engage in direct work with children, utilizing age-appropriate methods to build rapport, address concerns, and promote emotional well-being. Collaboration: Work closely with social workers to support interventions and assessments, contributing insights and observations to assist in decision-making processes. Resource Referral: Identify and connect families with relevant community resources and support services to address their specific needs and challenges. Crisis Intervention: Provide immediate support and assistance during crisis situations, following established protocols and procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of all involved parties. ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor #39;s degree in social work, psychology, counselling, or a related field preferred. Proven experience working with children and families in a support capacity. Strong understanding of behaviour management techniques, child development, and family dynamics. Previous experience working in a social services or child welfare setting. A valid driver #39;s license with a clean driving record.
