As a Mechanical Engineer, you will work across a wide variety of projects, including those addressing plant and equipment repair and refurbishment, process improvement, and new equipment, across a broad range of industrial plant, machinery and wind tunnel test equipment, including: Rotating machines and associated drives ranging from a few kilowatts to 17MW. Pneumatic systems including air compressors (ranging from 7 to 250 bar), circuits and actuators. To give you an idea of how this Mechanical Engineer role will look and feel, these are some things you can expect to do: * Understand the design intent of existing plant, machinery and wind tunnel test equipment, and their operating regimes and maintenance requirements * Design and implement new mechanical engineering elements, ensuring the company processes the documentation and engineering justifications appropriately * Review telemetry and data gathered from operational equipment to understand performance * Take engineering ownership of entire projects, such as refurbishing significant plant assets. for this Mechanical Engineer role, you will need a degree (Bachelors or Masters) qualified in Mechanical Engineering or a related subject. You will also require 5 : 10 years of industrial experience post:degree in a similar role. In addition, you should be highly numerate and confident with analytical methods and understand industrial machinery such as hydraulic power units, air compressors, and other rotating machines.
