Manufacturing engineer

JOB : Manufacturing Engineer LOCATION : Newbury TERM: Permanent SALARY : GBP 40,000 : GBP 52,000 per annum (dependent on experience) We are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer on a permanent basis in the Newbury area with experience in the assembly, electro:mechanical, electronics or similar Manufacturing Industry. Your main responsibilities will be assisting with New Product / Process Introduction as well as continuous improvement projects across the business. The Manufacturing Engineer will ideally have the following attributes: : Qualified in a relevant Engineering / Manufacturing Degree with time served as an Engineer. : Previous experience working as a Manufacturing, Process, Industrialisation, Production or similar Engineer role. : Understanding of assembly, electronics or electromechanical manufacturing processes. : Exposure to NPI or tooling / jigs and fixtures. : Have the ability to communicate with other members of staff and management. : Have excellent communication skills both verbal and written : Experience working within an ISO 9001 environment would be beneficial but not essential : Excellent organizational and planning skills. : Ability to work independently as well as team : Experience of Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma would be advantageous. The Manufacturing Engineer role will involve: : Oversee and lead process improvement and continuous improvement projects within manufacturing. : Liaise with other departments in NPI responsibilities such as tooling and fixtures as well as SOP writing. : Offer assistance in day to day manufacturing issues that pop up. : Carrying out new process implementations. : Helping to advise on factory layouts and new product introductions.
