Construction Manager / Senior Site Manager ndash; Oxfordshire We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced construction professional to join the team of a highly successful main contractor. Initially working on a c. GBP30million new build cproject in the education sector, you will report into a Project Manager and be part of the senior site team that underpins the success of the projects for this repeat business Client. The successful candidate will need to be able to demonstrate a track record of delivering multi million pound construction (non-housing) projects, as well as the ability to lead a site team and a diverse range of sub-contractors.The Company also places high value on longevity with previous employers. Essential Experience: The candidate will need to demonstrate a sound knowledge of all aspects of construction and an appreciation of contract issues. Leading the site team including effective coordination of subcontractors Reporting into a Project Manager, duties will include: Revision of short-term programmes, discussing any risk with the senior managers Through effective management of the site team, ensure that sub-contract personnel on site adhere to the Company rsquo;s quality, programme and H S requirements Liaising with the Quantity Surveyor on commercial matters Maintain excellent relationships with the Stakeholders through first-class communication and working in a collaborative manner at all times. Input into progress reports and liaise with the client team and attend meetings where needed Preferred Experience and qualifications: Proven background of running multi million pound projects Experience of working on new build and refurbishments project within the industrial and commercial sectors Strong organisation skills with a methodical approach HNC Construction/BSc Construction Management or similar / or by experience Managers CSCS and SMSTS/SSSTS Future work will also be in the Oxfordshire region so it is key that you already be located in the area
