Mechanical project manager

About the Employer Our client is a multi-discipline Mechanical and Electrical Contractor Specialising in Design, Installation, Renewables and FM work, with a solid reputation across multiple sectors including Commercial, Residential, Leisure and Educational. Founded over 25 years ago our Client has built strong relationships with some of the Construction giants and prestigious clients which has led to large financial gains and a healthy book lined up. About the Opportunity Due to Natural growth, our client is looking for an Mechanical Project Manager who can work within a fast-paced environment and run projects and ensure profitability. The projects are based in and around London serving the commercial fit-out, and residential markets. Your role will include but not be limited to: * Management and project reporting of all contractual and commercial aspects * Project planning for engineering resources, site management and CAD requirements * Production of procurement schedules, drawing schedules, technical submittal schedules, RFI schedules, financial cost forecasting, labour forecasting * Formulating a detailed building services programme alongside the main contractor rsquo;s programme * Attending site meetings, as and when required being the lead spokesperson on all issues * Planning, programming, organising, and monitoring the contract progress * Overseeing all building services and working practices * Management and implementation of Health, Safety and Environmental policies * Implementation of risk management strategies * Maintaining customer focus involving close working relationships with the client and working partners * Provide technical support and expertise to the internal project team as well as act as an advisory for the client team * Managing variation costing and control with Quantity Surveyor and main contractor * Handover to the client and aftercare Requirements Minimum of 3 Years of Mechanical project management experience working for a rival contractor. Degree qualified preferred. Most importantly the candidate for this role must be trustworthy, reliable, conscientious, and keen to progress your career further. You will also have to be a highly motivated individual and a strong team player. A consistent employment record is essential with at least two years at each employer. Salary/ Benefits Salary will be agreed with each individual on a case-by-case basis depending on previous experience. As a rough guideline I will be targeting individuals whose annual salary is within GBP65 to GBP75K + company works package
