We need an electrically biased Field Service Engineers to join an experienced team and become an expert in our sector. Weve been in business for over 180 years and with no on call shifts, youll always know where you need to be and when whilst installing, servicing and repairing our market leading capital equipment. We dont mind whether thats HNC / ONC or City and Guilds level 2 / 3 or equivalent. You could be: A An experienced electrically biased Field Service Engineer A A single site multi:skilled Maintenance Engineer A A recently apprenticed engineer with a mechatronics background Whatever your current background, were looking for someone whos enthusiastic and eager to become an expert in their field. Youll possess good interpersonal skills, and you will be keen to put these to good use with our customers. Itd be ideal if you have experience of PLC controls, however, well fully train you on all our equipment, so this isnt essential. You must have a full UK driving license. JOB DESCRIPTION: Field Service Engineer, Maintenance Engineer, Multi Skilled Engineer : Electrical Bias, Machinery, Capital Equipment Once weve taught you what you need to know, youll predominantly be out carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) at our customers sites and factories. As weve been around for such a long time, youll take on a massive range of our market leading industrial capital equipment, from legacy equipment, right through to our cutting:edge modern ranges. As our Field Service Engineer youll: A Attend customer sites to carry out a range of works including breakdowns, fault finding and repairs, both electrical and mechanical A Run diagnostics work : extending to PLC controls (we use Siemens, though any PLC experience would be a bonus) A Modify equipment to adhere to specific customer orders A Be the face of the company and provide excellent customer service at all times Youll also support the installation and commissioning process of our equipment into customers facilities, so there may be a requirement to spend the odd night away from home (with plenty of notice and fully expensed of course). There will be times when youll be at our brand new purpose built headquarters in Leicester. Here youll be involved in everything from machine repairs and refurbishments to customer demonstrations.
