Paid to scale #x1F4CD; Edmonton (N9) #x1F4C5; Full time / Long-Term #x1F680; Start Date: May 2024 In this position, you will specialize in supporting students who are disengaged from mainstream education or those with additional needs: Social, Emotional, Mental Health/and Behavioural Needs. #x1F4BC; #x2728; Experienced Unqualified English Teachers and Tutors will also be considered #x2728; The successful applicants will have: QTS/QTLS or equivalent. #x1F393; Previous experience teaching pupils with Special Education Needs including Learning Difficulties. #x1F9E9; Knowledge of National Curriculum requirements at KS3 and KS4, and of writing lesson plans, developing resources, and assessing students #39; work. #x1F4DD; Significant knowledge and experience of working with pupils who have complex mental health needs and challenging behavior (ideal - not essential). #x1F9E0; The ability to effectively manage pupil behavior during lessons. #x1F64C; Ability to effectively communicate with students, staff, and parents/carers. #x1F4AC; The role will include, but not be limited to: Teaching students on GCSE English and Functional Skills Entry Level, Level 1 and 2, and ESOL courses. #x1F4D6; Supporting existing staff in the development of the curriculum and new projects. #x1F331; Tracking student progress on a regular basis. #x1F4CA; To implement and deliver an appropriately broad, balanced, relevant, and differentiated curriculum for students and to support a designated learning area as appropriate. #x1F4DA; To provide, monitor and evaluate an appropriate curriculum to meet pupils #39; needs. #x1F4C8; To write and review students #39; Individual Education Plans (IEPs). #x1F4DD; To ensure that Special Educational Mental Health Needs are recognized, assessed, and met. #x1F9E0; If you would like to be considered for this role, apply now with your up-to-date CV.
