BASIC SALARY: GBP37,440 starting basic salary BENEFITS: middot; Competitive overtime rates middot; 25 days annual holiday allowance middot; 8 x Statutory paid holidays 2024 allowance middot; Contributory Pension middot; Financial reward schemes middot; Free On-site secure parking LOCATION: Daventry, Northamptonshire COMMUTABLE LOCATIONS: Northampton, Rugby, Warwick, Coventry, Milton Keynes JOB DESCRIPTION: This is a classic production Mig Welder role, working in a 4-5 person cell team or leading a cell team depending on experience, manufacturing up to 1000 part numbers across both UK and International OEM clients. You will be confident reading engineering drawings and your day to day responsibilities will include : middot; Set, operate and maintain the Mig and Tig Welding machines and related tools and equipment middot; MIG Welding with mild steel middot; Read and interpret engineering drawings in order to lay out a welding project middot; Test and inspect welded surfaces to ensure compliance with customer #39;s specifications middot; Use measuring instruments such as micrometers and calipers to inspect the parts middot; Diagnose issues and troubleshoot as and when required middot; Some general fabrication duties such as cutting and smoothing metal components, using plasma cutters, portable grinders, etc., bore holes through metal workpieces using a drill press middot; Meet production deadlines PERSON SPECIFICATION: middot; Mig welding experience in mild steel - Bench, JIG, Production, Fabrication middot; Previously worked with metal thicknesses of between 1mm - 20mm middot; Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings accurately - understanding weld symbols middot; Ability to work to strict time constraints and produce products to the highest standard, in line with customer demand middot; Positive #39;can do #39; attitude middot; Excellent time-keeping and attendance THE COMPANY: Established in 1974 we are a key player in the supply of engineered components to UK international clients in markets such as: power generation, commercial vehicles, construction, agriculture, automotive, materials handling and lift and access equipment.
