Yard stores operative

We have an exciting opportunity for a Yard/Stores Person to join our client #39;s organisation, a leading company in heavy manufacturing and engineering. This will be working Monday - Friday day shift only from 5:45am to 4pm, Monday to Friday. As a Yard/Stores Person, you will be responsible for the smooth operation of the yard and stores area. Your key duties will include: Managing the dispatch and receipt of goods, ensuring accurate documentation and timely delivery. Organising materials and stock control, utilising your excellent organisational skills to ensure easy access and efficient handling. Operating forklift trucks (FLT) to handle heavy equipment, so a FLT licence or experience is desirable. Maintaining a clean and safe working environment in accordance with health and safety regulations. A driving licence is required for this role, as you may be required to drive company vehicles. Previous experience working in a warehouse or yard/stores environment would be advantageous, particularly within heavy manufacturing or engineering. Strong organisational skills to effectively manage stock control, dispatch, and receiving of goods. Ability to operate a forklift truck (FLT) safely and efficiently. Flexibility in working hours to meet the demands of the role. A competitive salary ranging from GBP12 to GBP13 per hour, depending on experience.
