Solar design engineer

Summary Our client is an exciting renewable energy company working on utility scale solar and battery storage projects, they are currently seeking a Solar PV Design Engineer to join their growing team in Hemel Hempstead. Responsibilities * Manage the conceptualisation and design of our projects. * Collaboration with various teams to ensure that master drawings align with technical specifications, feasibility studies and structural requirements * Oversee the creation of AutoCAD designs for the Development team and assist with planning submissions. * Working with consultants and suppliers to gather product information and incorporate it into the designs. * Stay up to date with local and national regulations related to solar farms and engineering, ensuring all conceptual designs adhere to regulatory requirements and obtain necessary approvals * Explore emerging technologies and design trends in the solar and battery industry. Requirements from you * Engineering degree * 2+ years of solar PV design experience. * CAD drawing skills * Yield simulations experience with software eg PV*Sol / PVsyst * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Fluent in English. Other European language is a plus
