Management accountant

A thriving SME business based in Aldershot is looking for a Management Accountant to report into their Finance Manager, initially on 12 month fixed term contract but with a view to becoming permanent. This position has the capacity to be made permanent and will have the scope to become a Finance Manager in the future. * Complete a month-end bank reconciliation for each bank account for review on a timely basis * Maintain the Fixed Asset Register * Prepare month-end journals for review/approval and posting in the accounting system * Assist the Finance Manager in the production of the monthly management accounts, year-end financial statements, the annual budget and periodic in-year forecasts. Preparing financial summaries/analyses for the Finance Manager and the Salus Board. * Prepare supporting schedules for prepayments and accruals each month on a timely basis for review ensuring the quality of the balances * Prepare balance sheet reconciliations for payroll and control accounts to maintain the accuracy of balances. The successful Management Accountant will have: * A formal qualification in finance - ACCA / ICAEW / CIMA / CA.
