Join our Balfour Beatty Kilpatrick team as a Project Engineer (Fire) on the Hinkley Point C Project and you #39;ll be a big part of fascinating, complex, varied and meaningful work. About Hinkley Point C The first new nuclear power station to be built in the UK in over 20 years; Hinkley Point C in Somerset will provide low-carbon electricity for around 6 million homes, create thousands of jobs and bring lasting benefits to the UK economy. Marking a significant milestone in the revitalisation of our nuclear power industry, Hinkley Point C will make a major contribution to the UKs move to reduce carbon emissions. The electricity generated by its two EPR reactors will offset 9 million tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions a year, or 600 million tonnes over its 60-year lifespan. What you #39;ll be doing As a Project Engineer (Fire), you will have the following accountabilities. To be the MEH JV site wide Temp Fire Alarms Detectors Installation and Commissioning expert and support MEHA permanent Installation Site Wide Team Plan and lead temp fire alarm detector installation to support MEHA installation Fire Engineers must be able to review Fire Risk Assessment completed by MEHA Fire Team and suggest an amendment relating to the regulations and best practices. Maintain planning schedule and provide weekly progress report. Coordinate end-to-end temp fire alarm detector installation and witness test Sing point of contact for technical issues including fault finding and fixing. Coordinate with supplier and make sure adequate resources are on site to support alarm system. Update and maintain temp alarms asset register. Maintain site layout to show area MEHA temp alarms detectors are installed. Participate and support fire Audits. Organise and update weekly alarm test. Who we #39;re looking for Do you have?
