Senior quantity surveyor

Long term contract role* *Inside IR35* *Hybrid working pattern with base in Lancashire Merseyside* *37 hour working week* Senior QS: bull; Manage the pre-contract tender process including tender assessment and queries and issue the contract award recommendation report. bull; Ensuring robust estimates are provided that are aligned to scope and make allowance for all risks. bull; Managing commercial inputs to the procurement process including ensuring that strategies are developed and agreed. bull; Contracts are properly managed and administered in accordance with contract requirements including compliance with all responses to communications, payments, compensation events and programme submissions etc. bull; Ensuring robust budget and cost management is always undertaken, taking a proactive approach, providing solutions with a lsquo;can do rsquo; attitude. bull; Ownership of accurate commercial reporting. bull; Proactive management of project and programme risk including ensuring that mitigation plans are in place and implemented. bull; Development of strong client relationships across its organisation. bull; Supporting internal business development initiatives. bull; Essential: o Have NEC3 or 4 ECC main Option A, C or E experience for project delivery, administration and management. o Pre-contract tendering experience on the NEC3 or 4 ECC. o Commercially managed and delivered post-contract projects from contract award to final account. o Stakeholder management. o Travel to and work in the client rsquo;s office in North West England. bull; Desirable: o Chartered Surveyor (MRICS) or working towards their APC. o NEC3 or 4 ECC accredited Project Manager. o A knowledge and expertise in the water/wastewater industry sector including the Water Industry Act 1991 and the New Roads and Street Works Act 1991 section 84. o Make well reasoned, sound and timely decisions based on the needs of the situation, the clients and the team members. o Experience of a contract management software, such as CEMAR
